SOC Manager (Contract)

Location: Glasgow, Scotland Country: UK Rate: Circa £650pd
 

Security (Cyber) Operations Manager - 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) - Hybrid (1 days pw, Glasgow or 1 week per month) - Starting ASAP

Day Rate: Circa £650 depending on experience

Job Description:

Harvey Nash's public sector client looking to fill a SOC Manager role for a 6 month contract. They will be tasked with leading two teams; the operational cyber security protective monitoring team (SOC Team).

The required skills and experience needed to satisfy the duties of the role are:

Main Duties:

  • Day-to-day supervising and leading the technical resources in a SOC type environment, including those new into their roles
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant SIEM tools and technology, on premise and/or cloud hosted and ideally Elastic but could also include Splunk, qRadar or similar
  • Able to lead investigations highlighted by the protective monitoring team and managing any subsequent resulting incidents
  • Ability to evangelise the use of monitoring technologies across the organisation and into non security areas such as availability or performance monitoring
  • Tenable experience
