SAC Project Manager (Contract)

Our client based in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, United Arab Emirates, is currently looking for a Senior SAP Project Manager, with strong experience in SAP Analytics Cloud for an immediate start.

Project Brief:

Our client needs the services of a project management professional with sound experience in implementing SAP Analytical Cloud and design & map processes to be configured. The resource will support in all works associated to the finance digital journey in 2024. You should have working experience in SAP ERP systems, implementing SAP SAC module, Robotic Process Automation process designing. You should bring forth best practices in digital transformations for Finance & accounts aligned with enterprise needs.

Reporting:

The FP&A Consultant will report directly to the Director of Finance and collaborate closely with other stakeholders involved in the project.

Responsibilities:

  • SAP Analytic Cloud Implementation Project planning and implementation
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance and the NTT team to understand project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Develop a detailed project plan outlining tasks, dependencies, and milestones
  • Optimize budget workflows and ensure they align with best practices to be implemented in SAC
  • Oversee the configuration of SAC modules according to business requirements
  • Ensure creation of best fit dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in the implementation to support FP&A needs.
  • Ensure the data Integration of SAC with existing ERP systems and data sources (business warehouse) cross-functionally to address information requirements of all departments for preparation of their budgets.
  • Ensure successful user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates to the Director of Finance.

Change Management for implementation of SAC:

  • Develop a change management Plan to facilitate the adoption of Digitized budgeting environment in SAC.
  • Identify stakeholders and their roles in the change process.
  • Discussions to understand concerns and feedback.
  • Prepare the training manual with NTT data team, provide training and support to ensure users are equipped to embrace the changes effectively.

Budgeting Process Review:

  • Analyze current budgeting procedures, including data collection, consolidation, and analysis.
  • Propose recommendations to streamline the budgeting process and enhance accuracy before configuring in SAC.

Financial Modeling:

  • Design and build financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and standardize reporting formats to improve efficiency.
  • Develop models to conduct sensitivity analysis and what-if scenarios to assess potential impacts on financial outcomes.

Rolling Forecasts:

  • Design and implement rolling forecast methodologies to provide continuous insights into future financial performance.
  • Establish rolling forecast timelines, processes, and key inputs.
  • Develop models and tools to automate the rolling forecast process and improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with business units to integrate rolling forecasts into decision-making processes.

Planning Enhancement:

  • Develop new planning methodologies, including rolling forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Implement tools and frameworks to facilitate collaborative planning across departments.

Deliverables:

  1. Project managing, detailing tasks, timelines, and resource allocation for SAC implementation.
  2. Configured SAC instance with customized dashboards and reports.
  3. Recommendations for optimizing the budgeting process.
  4. New planning methodologies and financial models.
  5. Training materials and user documentation for SAC.
  6. Change management strategy and communication plan.
  7. Implemented rolling forecast framework and associated tools.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Support the implementation team to deliver accountabilities
  • Proven experience in delivering enterprise solutions in challenging business environments for project initiatives
  • Exposure and experience in areas such as Budgeting, FP&A, SAP FICO, Funds management, RPA etc.

EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in Project Management and Digital transformation
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in SAP product implementations
  • Hands-on experience with implementing SAP SAC Module

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology or a related field
  • 8+ years' experience as a project manager in implementing digital solutions, preferably within the FP&A domain
  • 3+ years' experience in implementing Finance digital solutions with prior experience in SAP SAC implementation
  • Proficient in financial software and tools such as Excel, SAP, Power BI
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • CFA/CPA/CMA certification is a plus
